Simply Southern Kitchen

I don’t normally write reviews but I had to for Simply Southern. I’m from the north and I thought the food was delicious. The special I had was country fried steak, shrimp, green beans, hush puppies, and mashed potatoes. I cannot stress how amazing everyone working there was. Genuinely some of the best and nicest service I’ve ever had.

My fiance, daughter, and myself have been here twice now within a month. We've always wanted to try and finally stopped while Christmas shopping and it was everything we had hoped. The chicken is amazing, the staff is friendly, and the pie is scrumptious. Don't miss out, make the left turn, it's worth it!!

We’ve been driving back-and-forth past his place for years. This year we saw a billboard while we were looking for a lunch place and decided to stop. Brady was excellent, greeting us, taking our order and overall service. The restaurant was adorable with all the Christmas decor. The hush puppies are the best I’ve ever had!! We really enjoyed our large grilled shrimp Me with fried Okra and mac & cheese. The brisket sandwich was also very good, and the large fried oyster platter. My husband greatly enjoyed! All the pies are homemade and I really liked my pecan pie! There was outside seating area, to go area, a clean bathroom and overall great friendly, southern hospitality. If you have a chance to stop here, I highly recommend SSK. I’m sure you really enjoy it!!

I go here every Tuesday or Wednesday after I drop my daughter's off at cheerleading. Foods always On point and filling. Service is great and they have beer!

Great place off the main road. Cozy restaurant. Staff is accommodating and food was good. Some of the crispiest chicken I've had in a while.

Neat little restaurant with excellent service. Our waitress had only been there a few days and took on a large group very well! The food was decent overall. Very unique hush puppies and I enjoyed the fries with some ranch.

Very good food! Service was pretty good (it was busy) and it's a small, simple restaurant, but everything is very clean and attractive. The prime rib (Friday night special) was delicious; house salad was real greens not iceberg lettuce; fried pickles were scrumptious; fried okra still looks and tastes like okra, not just a wad of breading; fried pork chop was excellent, as was the BBQ. We ended up having enough leftovers (with an additional house salad) for another meal!

This was my first time eating here and I will definitely go back. The food was delicious. I had the pork chops and collard greens. The chef came out to talk to us when he had a little free time. The waitress was amazing. It was a very good experience.
